Golf Is the Sport of Business
Business deals are done on the golf course, so it is about time we start thinking of golf clubs as a business product. If you want to make deals with clients, you better be at least a 15 handicap, otherwise you might want to reconsider your career choice. If you hope to be a leading executive, learn how to play golf and invest in a nice set of clubs. They aren’t your normal business product, but are still important. In fact, if you own your own business you could probably write golf of as a business expense, although don’t blame it on me if it turns out to be illegal. Regardless, golf is the sport of business, so plan on enjoying it if you want to go into business.

IT Certifications
If you have no idea what to do in life, I would look into IT. The IT job market is constantly growing, and IT people get paid so much! The key is simply to be certified in all of these IT languages and operating systems. There are hundreds of schools that will prepare you to take the certification tests, and the certifications only take about three months to complete. Each time you complete a certification you also take a pay raise too. I had an IT professor is college who would lay out a plan to reach a minimum of $100k a year for any student willing to work hard. He worked with a few friends of mine, and they each are doing very well, even in these tough economic times.
From Job To Career
Part-time jobs are interesting. It seems like if you do it long enough, you will usually end up disliking it, or realizing that it just isn’t for you. Until you mentally know you are going to turn a job into a career, you will have to move on eventually. For example, I have a friend who works as a runner for a law firm. Unlike most of us, he actually loves his job. The only problem is that he cannot live the lifestyle he wants working 20-hours a week and getting paid $10.00 an hour. When I ask him if he likes his job, he always says he loves it, however, as soon as I ask him why he doesn’t do it for the rest of his life then he says he needs to move on at some point to make more money. It would be nice if we could just find a job we like and not worry about money.
