Health Scares

Everyone has a moment or two every week where they are unsure what is going on with their body. It is scary, and it is easy to jump to terrible conclusions. I, for example, get these weird heartbeats where my heart is just beating unbelievably hard for about five minutes. It usually happens when I lay down to go to bed. My doctor says I am fine, but I always worry about it. I also get stabbing pains in my chest from time to time, which of course I immediately believe are from a heart attack, but it is just air. My point is that it is hard to know how serious you should take little abnormalities in your body. I don’t want to over worry, but I also don’t want to drop dead.

New Workout Idea

I have been trying to find new ways to work out effectively. I ran into my old trainer the other day, and he invited me to try this new Saturday morning leg workout he has been doing with a few new clients. I showed up on Saturday unsure about what we were going to do. First, we jogged to a nearby stadium. Then, we went inside and what we would do was sprint around three fourths of the track, and then run up and down the stairs diagonally for the other fourth. This workout made my legs so sore for a couple reasons. The sprinting made my legs immediately tired, and then running diagonally up and down the stairs was like doing weird lunges that used new and weak muscles.
